It's cold out.... and the heat goes ON! Or does it?
Have you seen the small indicator on your thermostat that reads "Battery"? Guess what? It's time to change the batteries in your programmable thermostat. This is not a difficult task and the batteries should be replaced annually to avoid the "no heat" service call. We have been receiving many service calls lately for this very same problem. Think of it this way: October is fire prevention month. If you are changing the batteries in your smoke alarms, change them in your thermostat as well.
